&Tradition Flowerpot Big Pendant Lamp

The &Tradition Flowerpot Big Pendant Lamp, designed in 1968 by Verner Panton for &Tradition, is a classic which has stood the test of time and symbolises the trends and movements of the era.

During the year of its conception, a student revolt was under way in Paris, Rome and the United States which saw a rebellion against the old, outdated and stiff views of the time. They soon went on to established themselves as the ‘flower power’ generation.

This mantra of peace and love inspired the harmonious design of the Flowerpot Pendant Light seen through two semi circular spheres which are perfectly balanced – reinforcing its long-standing presence. The larger element contains the light, helping it to disperse evenly and provides a ‘halo’ effect when viewed from below which is aided by the under shade.
