Glas Italia Glass Shelves 1976
The Glas Italia Glass Shelves 1976 are designed by Shiro Kuramata who attended Tokyo Polytechnic high school, where he studied woodcraft, graduating in 1953. He then went on to study interior design at Tokyo’s Kuwazawa Institute for Design, finishing in 1956.
This product is an historical and iconic piece of work from international design, designed in 1976.
The Glass Shelves measure 165cm long x 35cm deep x 196cm high. The Bookcase is characterised by the extraordinary formal clenliness and the golden proportions, which is entirely realised in thermowelded transparent glass.
