Designer Jośe A. Gandia Blasco designed Gan Books Rug. As a designer Jose A. Gandia Blasco is always on the lookout for quality and originality to transform everyday objects into compositions. Jagged, stacked and disorganized books have never looked so chic. Inspired by the structure and composition of a bookshelf this rug is minimal and simple. However its irregular shape keeps it fresh and modern for any living space.

Gan Books Rug is made from 100% new wool with cotton backing. This hand-tufted rug was completely handmade.

Ferrious is honoured to feature all of the GAN by Gandia Blasco collections and specially designs by Jośe A. Gandia. After studying Law, Jośe joined his family’s business GANDIA BLASCO and eventually was able to take on responsibilities in the company. Along with Marisa Gallen and Sandra Figuerola, he was able to reshape the company. Together they designed the first reversible carpet collection and won the IMPIVA award in 1990 for innovation and many years later he inherited the company and the rest is history.

Gan Books Rug is manufactured in India by means of hand tufting, Hand knotting or woven technique, with natural materials and without using child labour. GAN by Gandia Blasco is a family business based in Valencia manufacturing contemporary rugs and outdoor furniture. Collaborating with leading designers, they continue to rouse emotions through innovative design and fresh products. Creating Gan Books Rug by hand gives it a unique character without comprising quality or expectation. The playful nature of each rug reflects the personality of Gandia Blasco.
