Company training can’t really get much better when you are flown out to Italy, can it?

Our Retail Manager, Natalie, had a lovely few days in Cantu last week, learning all about two of our brands, Porro and Living Divani.

Day One 

Porro is known for sophisticated design and attention to detail, and the showroom definitely didn’t disappoint. Their bespoke wardrobes allow customers to get exactly what they are looking for from storage space, while not compromising on design quality. One of the most interesting things about Porro, is the way they avoid showing the fixtures and fittings that keep the elements of the wardrobes together. This isn’t limited to just wardrobes either, it spans their whole catalogue of products.

Interior elements such as trouser rails, glass drawers and LED lit shelves to display your shoes, all show the amount of thought and care that has gone into each configuration.

A factory tour was scheduled in the afternoon in order to show the trainees how Porro items are manufactured and finished. This included methods such as lacquering, veneering and assembling of the parts.

Day Two

As an added bonus, due to flight schedules, Natalie was also lucky enough to visit the beautiful Living Divani offices and showroom, designed by Piero Lissoni.

Living Divani produce a full range of home furnishings, including outdoor furniture and floor coverings, all with their original idea of subtle luxury in mind.

Finishing details show off the quality of the materials used, as well as the precise nature in which they are manufactured.
