A simple dining chair that is very sturdy all thanks to its eleven layers of moulded veneered plywood – giving it perfect stability. It was originally designed in 1956 by Hans J Wegner but wasn’t showcased to the world until 2005.

Due to its ergonomic design this chair is also suitable for use at a desk as it enables many seating positions and support for the arms, thus giving it the name ‘Elbow Chair’. It can also be stacked and stored away easily – not that you’d want to keep this chair out of sight!

Having worked at Carl Hansen for 6 years Wegner wanted to push himself further in terms of furniture design and manufacturing techniques. This however meant that the CH20 was too complicated to manufacture for its time with only one prototype being made.

This chair is available in Black Oak frame with Black Thor Leather.
