Wastberg Sempe w103 Table Lamp
A Sempé w103 pendant lamp can be a single hanging shade or a combination of shades. They can be attached on a long rail for linear combinations or on smaller rails, where they can be joined together like Meccano to create polygons. The rail structure is thin enough to avoid the feeling of a heavy, hanging structure, and the lines are also softened by the round shapes of the shades.
Two elements of the w103 range table lamp are used in the suspended lamps: the shade is identical and the hook of the clamp is moved to the top of the shade. This then becomes the assembly piece of all the various shade combinations. The Wastberg Sempe w103 Table Lamp is available in black & white.
French designer, born in Paris, Inga Sempé graduated from ENSCI-Les Ateliers (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, Paris) in 1993. From 2000 till 2001 she was scholarship holder at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome and opened her own studio the same year. In the beginning, she first collaborated with the Italian companies Cappellini and Edra. Now Sempé works among others with scandinavian, italian and french companies such as HAY, Ligne Roset, Wästberg , Alessi, LucePlan, Mutina, Røros, Moustache, Svenskt Tenn, Gärsnäs… She lives and works in Paris assisted by two other designers.
