Wastberg Nendo w132 Table is part of the Nendo w132 family made out of one of the lamps’ standard components.
The whole range is made by a system of parts. The height and form of the light can be easily changed by adding and rearranging the components. By attaching the wire unit to the shade it becomes a pendant lamp. Adding a longer post to the lamp makes it a floor lamp. The shade is available in three different shapes: a cone, a sphere and a cylinder. The Wastberg Nendo w132 Table can be used as a side table on its own or as a base for the table version to create a floor lamp. With the amount of colours , shapes and elements, the possibilities are endless!
A selection of other accessories – a bowl and a bird-cage – are also available.
Oki Sato is Chief Designer and Founder of nendo.
Born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada. Received M.Arch. from WasedaUniversity, Tokyo in 2002. Established design studio “nendo” in the same year. Activity in the design world has not been limited to any one area but is rather multifarious, spanning from graphic and product design to designing furniture, installations, windows, and interiors, and even reaches into the realm of architecture. Chosen by Newsweek magazine as one of “The 100 Most Respected Japanese” and won many “Designer of the Year” of major awards include from Wallpaper magazine and ELLE DÉCOR magazine. Nendo designs can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as Musee des Arts decoratifs and Centre Pompidou in Paris.
