Vitra Gueridon Bas Table
Vitra Gueridon Bas Table is yet another classy design from Jean Prouve.
In the early 1940s he began to work more extensively with wood. By 1944 he designed this table. The Vitra Gueridon Bas Table has a heavy oiled top in solid oak or solid American walnut that rests on matching three solid oak or solid Amercian walnut legs. These elements are joined together by a construction made out of bent sheet metal in basic black powder-coat with smooth finish. Vitra Gueridon Bas Table in dark stained oak links back to the original version made of tropical wood called ‘Table Africaine’.
