Vitra Cite Chair

The Vitra Cite Chair was designed for a competition to furnish the student residence halls at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy. Therefore, the Cité armchair is one of Jean Prouvé’s earliest masterpieces. With its distinctive runners made out of painted sheet steel and broad leather belts for armrests, this dynamic looking armchair was used by the ‘constructeur’ Prouvé in the living room of his own home. The generous dimensions and inviting upholstery contribute to the great comfort of Cité. The neck cushion adds a lot to the comfort of the chair.

The Vitra Cite Chair comes with a frame in either Japanese Red, Black or Ecru with a complementary fabric colour.
