Cassina Nuvola Rossa Bookshelf
Cassina Nuvola Rossa is a bookshelf concept that takes its inspiration from collapsible wooden clothes drying racks. Unlike most traditional book storage systems, Magistretti has essentially eliminated the vertical supports – the diagonally tensioned frame becomes wonderfully decorative when combined with the horizontal shelves.
The system is constructed of beech wood that is available in natural finish along with white or black lacquer. Once the frame is opened, the horizontal shelves are easily inserted to create the bookcase. Nuvola Rossa can be presented as a multiple to create a dramatic wall installation. As Nuvola Rossa is freestanding, the form also lends itself beautifully for use as a room divider.
Magistretti’s decades-long collaboration with Cassina was built on experimentation, idea promotion, and working directly with artisans and producers. Magistretti stated, “from the beginning […] we worked together, in a way which is unique in the world […] we discussed projects together from the start. I never produced finished designs […] the design grew out of discussions, after looking at the technology available, the machines which the company used.”

All UK customers receive a 1hr delivery window by text and email (if provided) for your convenience and improved first time delivery success. On receipt of this text and email you will have the opportunity to change the date and location of your delivery if the slot given is not convenient.
All items that are in stock and ordered before 12 will be despatched the same day for next day delivery in the UK. International deliveries will take longer. If an item isn't in stock you will receive an email to let you know when to expect to receive it.
